After more than 30 years in the music industry, I feel a deep gratitude and passion for this art form every day, and I greatly enjoy collaborating with a wide variety of people throughout the creative process.
As a musician and producer/sound engineer, I have collaborated on more than 50 albums, with over 300 credits as an arranger/co-arranger. I have performed live in over 40 countries, at iconic venues such as Latitude Festival (UK), Adrienne Arsht Centre (USA), Royal Opera House Muscat (Oman), Teatro Buero Vallejo (Mexico), the Peacock Theatre (United Kingdom), the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki (Finland), the ancient Theatre of Taormina (Italy), Veranos de la Villa (Spain), the Seville Flamenco Biennial (Spain), the Jerez Festival (Spain) and many more.
From a very young age, playing in concerts and making demos with bands, I have always had a keen interest in production and recording.
After a long career performing live with Finnish and Spanish artists, I settled in Madrid in 2010, where I set up a small recording studio to produce music for dance companies and record drums and percussion online for other musicians' projects. Working in that small studio, my enthusiasm for the world of recording grew. In 2020, after moving to Malaga, I completed a master's degree in Music Production, Recording and Sound Engineering, as well as an Expert Course in Mixing and Mastering Techniques at Schooltraining, Malaga. This experience inspired me to open my own professional-quality studio, allowing me to devote myself entirely to my passion for music production and recording.
Roni (Martin) cannot praise (Karo) Sampela highly enough and is very happy that he is still available to perform with the Company (Kaari & Roni Martin). After all, percussion is key for me. If the percussion works, everyone else can relax.
